Background:

Maou Ateraesia, once known as Ateraesia von und zu Astria, is the daughter of the once royal Astria family. She was born after the royal Astria family was defied in a coup by its second son. The old Astria family was exiled and replaced by the new Astria family, helmed by the very same second son.

Maou is the daughter of the previous king and head of the Astria family, the first son, Astraeus von und zu Astria. She was named “von und zu Astria” out of pride and duty that one day the throne would be reclaimed and she would be the one to sit on it. Astraeus only retreated temporarily and has been biding his time ever since, waiting for the right moment to retake his kingdom, but he knew that it would bring much danger to his only daughter, so as a precaution, he sent his daughter away from the upcoming war.

Maou escaped the kingdom vowing to one day go back to aid her father when she had the power to. Along the way, she found a companion and the two supported each other in escaping the kingdom and nearly died of hardship until they were found and saved by Saints Cathedral.
